How we work

Small team. Senior engineers. Defined outcomes.

We work with a small number of clients at a time. The people you meet are the people who build. Here is exactly what an engagement with us looks like.

Our process

Four phases. Every engagement.

The same structure applies whether we are building a data pipeline or a production AI system. Clarity before velocity.

A typical fixed-scope engagement runs 8–12 weeks end to end. Retainer engagements are structured monthly with defined scope each cycle.

01

Discovery

We start with your problem, not a template. We spend time with your team understanding your data landscape, your operations, and where the actual friction is. No 40-slide decks. No framework theatre. We leave with a clear picture of what needs to be built and why.

Deliverable

A written summary of findings, recommended approach, and a fixed-scope proposal.

02

Architecture

Before we write a line of code we design the solution. Data models, pipeline architecture, infrastructure decisions, and integration points — all documented and reviewed with you. This is where we surface assumptions, de-risk the build, and align on what done looks like.

Deliverable

Architecture document, tech stack decisions, and a delivery plan with milestones.

03

Build

Senior engineers build the actual system. We work in short cycles with regular check-ins so you always know where things stand. You see working software early — not at the end. If something needs to change mid-build, we say so and adjust rather than ship the wrong thing quietly.

Deliverable

Working system deployed to your environment, tested and documented.

04

Handover

We hand over everything — code, documentation, runbooks, and enough knowledge transfer that your team can own it. We do not design systems that require us to stay forever. If ongoing support makes sense we will say so honestly, but dependency is never the goal. The 30-day support window that follows is not a formality — it is where the real questions surface and we make sure your team is confident running it independently.

Deliverable

Full documentation, knowledge transfer sessions, and a 30-day support window.

How we engage

The things that do not change regardless of the project.

Senior engineers only

The people in the sales conversation are the people who do the work. We do not win projects and hand them to juniors. Every engagement is led by an engineer with real production experience.

Small number of clients at a time

We deliberately limit how many clients we work with simultaneously. This is not a capacity constraint — it is a quality decision. Your project gets focused attention, not a shared pool of bandwidth.

Two ways to engage

Some clients come with a defined problem and want a fixed-scope project with a clear end date. Others want an ongoing partner embedded in their operations — handling data engineering, BI, or AI on a monthly retainer. Both work. Many clients start with a project and move to a retainer once they see how we work. Some come straight in on a retainer basis. We are flexible on structure; we are not flexible on quality.

You own everything

All code, all infrastructure, all documentation is yours from day one. We build on your accounts, in your environment, under your access controls. Nothing lives in a black box we control.

What we do not do

Worth being clear about.

Knowing what a team does not do is as useful as knowing what they do. This is not a pitch — it is just honest.

Body shopping or staff augmentation

×

Six-month discovery phases before anything gets built

×

Bloated project teams with layers of account management

×

Vendor lock-in through proprietary tooling or platforms we own

×

Offshore-to-onshore handoffs where accountability disappears

×

Engagements where we cannot clearly name the outcome in week one

Most data engagements start with a conversation about a specific problem.

Tell us what yours is. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right team to solve it.

We respond within 24 hours.
